The adult division is designed for self-development and growth in the arts. All children’s classes are structured in a performance manner as atheatrical unit, giving students a sense of stage presence, following directions and developing choregraphic memory. Each year The National Ballet of N.J. holds auditions for children of the school to participate in professional productions of such ballets as “The Nutcracker”,“Coppella”, “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” and “Sleeping Beauty”. All students of the School are able to participate in the Annual Children’s Concert in the Spring, giving them performance experience mandatory to developing their stagecraft.
The National Ballet Company/NJ is funded in part by the NEW JERSEY STATE COUNCIL ON THE ARTS/DEPARTMENT OF STATE from a grant to the Cultural & Heritage Department of Burlington.
